Standstill period

A period in which a process is put on hold to allow another party or parties to take action. In the PPP context, it typically refers to either:
·         a mandatory period of time required between the award of a contract and the signing of that contract to allow for any challenge to the award decision
·         a contractually agreed period of time in which one party must refrain from taking specified forms of action.
