K-infra is pleased to announce the incorporation of Jean-Alexandre Blanchard to its team of CP3P Accredited Trainers. Jean-Alexandre has been recently accredited to deliver training in relation to the Foundation level of the PPP Certification Program.

Jean-Alexandre has acted as advisor and trainer in the PPP field in frontier markets. He has an in-depth expertise of infrastructure markets in complex and challenging environments (7 years in Russia, Central Asia and more recently in Belarus, Egypt and Ukraine) and is experienced in formulating and implementing new regulatory framework and pilot projects in a sensitive institutional environment. Jean-Alexandre has strong skills in project finance.

After having developped its PPP expertise within the French Ministry of Transports, Jean-Alexandre went working in 2008 at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for almost 9 years: first as a PPP/concession specialist in Russia, where he managed a range of transactions/initiatives to deliver transition or investment/funding objectives in relation to infrastructure PPP/concession projects, and later on as principal banker in Russia and Central Asia. He then became Principal Fund Manager at the EBRD’s Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (IPPF) in 2015, covering the PPP window of this facility, developing projects in Belarus, Egypt and Ukraine. In 2017, he returned to the French Ministry of Transports in the position of Concessions Director where he is in charge of preparing, tendering and managing PPP and concessions projects in the transport and infrastructure sectors initiated by the central government.

Jean-Alexandre will mainly support K-infra’s activities and CP3P delivery in French speaking countries.

K-infra has been recently accredited to deliver training in relation to the CP3P – Execution level of the PPP Certification Program.

The Execution exam tests whether the candidate has achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply the structuring and drafting Process of PPP tender documents and the PPP contracts, and the management of PPP contracts during the Construction and Operations Phases. The base of this examination is chapters 5, 6, 7 and 8 (from the structuring and drafting process of RFP and Contract, the process of tendering and awarding, up to the phase of contract management including construction phase and operation phase).

Marcel van den Broek, K-infra’s CP3P Accredited Trainer and PPP expert has been certified as well to deliver CP3P – Execution training.

K-infra’s first edition of the Certified PPP Professional (CP3P) – Execution course will be delivered in Madrid (Spain) from March 16 to 28, 2019.

For the first time ever, a government of a developed country will participate on the PPP Certification Program

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management in the Netherlands has contracted K-infra to deliver PPP training in relation to the PPP Certification Program to its professionals in the public sector.

It is the first time that a government from a developed country has decided to participate in such program. The training will comprise two courses to be delivered in December and early 2019 to some 30 government officials which are primarily active in the water sector.

Our trainer Marcel van den Broek, K-infra’s CP3P Accredited Trainer and senior Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) expert will deliver these courses.

This is a milestone in the consolidation of the #CP3P program, as it demonstrates the relevance of the Guide and the Program not only for emerging economies but also to help capacitating the most sophisticated and mature countries in terms of the use of the PPP tool.  And more over contributing to a truly global standard for the PPP industry

K-infra will attend the ninth edition of Investructures

The ninth edition of the annual congress on Investment and Financing in the infrastructure sector, known as “Investructuras”, will take place next October 23, 2018 at the Meliá Princesa Hotel in Madrid.

The event, which will feature more than 40 speakers, 9 discussion panels and 2 parallel rooms, is aimed at professionals from the private and public sectors: construction companies and concessionaires, investors, banks and financial institutions, engineering firms, consulting firms, law firms, the central administration, autonomous communities, provincial councils and city councils.

PPP expert Marcel van den Broek has been recently accredited to deliver training of the CP3P – Preparation level, second level of the PPP Certification Program, being the fourth accredited trainer of K-Infra for this level.

Marcel, a seasoned PPP practitioner with 25 years of working experience, joined K-infra’s team of CP3P trainers in June 2018. He supports K-Infra´s activities and CP3P training delivery in Europe (especially Eastern Europe), Asia (especially East Asia) and Africa.

Since joining the team, he has delivered a course for a group of public sector representatives in Gambia and within the coming months he will be delivering trainings both in Pakistan and Indonesia. Also, he represented K-infra at the Global PPP Conference in Ukraine. His next CP3P – Foundation open course will be delivered in Amsterdam (Netherlands) from December 10 to 12, 2018. K-infra attends the Global PPP Conference in Kiev

PPP Expert and CP3P Accredited Trainer, Marcel van den Broek, represented K-infra on his attendance to the Global PPP Conference.

The conference took place on September 14, 2018 in Kiev (Ukraine).

Professionals, business representatives and government officials from different countries discussed the latest developments in the Public-Private Partnerships sector as well as upcoming PPP opportunities in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.

The event was organized by Spilno (PPP Management Office in Ukraine) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
